Glossary

Agency / organisation — a business using the platform. Each has its own isolated data. Managed by platform operators under Platform → Agencies.

Tenant (renter) — a person renting a home. Lives under Relations → Landlords & Tenants.

Tenant (SaaS sense) — occasionally used internally to mean an agency. The UI avoids this: agencies are called “Agencies”.

Landlord — the owner of a property, on whose behalf the agency rents or manages it.

In beheer (under management) — a property the agency operates for the owner, with utilities, CV/boiler, access codes and VvE details recorded.

VvEVereniging van Eigenaren, a Dutch owners’ association for apartment buildings.

Free sector (geliberaliseerd) — housing above the social-rent threshold, with liberalised rent.

WWS points — the Dutch points system used to assess a dwelling’s rent category.

CPI indexation — annual rent increase based on the official consumer price index.

Bank guarantee (bankgarantie) — a bank-backed security instrument used instead of a cash deposit.

Brokerage commission — the agency’s fee, e.g. a percentage of annual rent.

Tussenvoegsel — the Dutch name infix (e.g. “van der”); stored as the contact’s middle name for correct addressing.

ROZ / VVA — standard Dutch rental-contract models selectable when generating a contract.
